Is 2.9 ok? Its Corsair XMS PC3200, pretty bad OCers, but it OCs better at 2.9. Can I just leave it there? All it has are its original heatspreaders.

i use my finger. as long as it ain't hot, it's fine. i use a fan if i'm runnin 3.3v daily.

ok im fine I guess then. Eventually ill point a fan at it if I need to go over 3v

people have ran 4.2v through memory, but ram won't last long with that much ;) 3v probably isn't a bad range though.

personnally i would say 3.3v max unless you have bh-5, micron, or tccd. although i ran 3.3v thru ocz 3200el and after a month or so it BSOD like crazy.

XMS3200, might be BH-6 chips.

If it has XMS3202 1.1 on the flashy sticker stuff volts into them like crazy and stick a fan over top.. they LOVE volts :D

naw, sheograth has CH5, but theyre still pretty solid clockers.

i cant wait to shove 4.2v into my bh6 chips :D

I always keep going on all my gear until I hit the law of diminishing returns. :p: You know, like if that extra .1v on my cpu gets me 25MHz I ask myself if it's worth it, without much fear during the short time I'm trying it. Although with BH5 you might worry of the A64 mem controller. That stuff keeps going and going. I don't know it's worked for me so far... *knock on wood* With a lot of the new rams you can undoubtedly try the same. VX is one of the few voltage lovers left and it's made for it. :) It's actually kind of bizarre that so many mobo makers have cold feet on this. My NF7-S(2.9vddr, but 2.3vcore.. what the?!)

Oh and ditto on the fan bit. I try to point a fan at mine. Although i'm not done with my current setup so I'm not following my own advice :p: Mine are all "naked" too. Not a fan of the headspreaders. Maybe your manufacturer doesnt put the blanket tapes on though. I've been using mostly HyperX but will probably get TCCD from someone else.

I run 3.1V through my TCCC daily at about 250MHZ, haven't had problems yet.

CH-5's sweetspot is above 3.1v :D

Aren't TCCC rated at 250 @ like 2.6 or 2.7v (It was on my pos Kingston PC4000)

I don't know what they're rated at. 3.1V is the max available in the BIOS (well 4V with beta BIOS but that requires PSU modding and i don't think it would be useful). At 3-3-3-7 my TCCC at 3.1V can handle 265MHz but there isn't a divider which will let me have 265MHz and 2.5GHz on my A64 :p so I run it at about 250MHz, slow timings though i know

I have your same sticks and TWINX as well, rev 1.2, and i'm runing 3.2V on them with a slow rpm fan for 4 months now, no problems at all. I belivee someone here told me it was CH-5

Muskin bh5 here at 250Mhz @ 3.4v all day long. It don't get hot. Just a pleasent temperature to make my nipples feel nice.

I run Twinmos Bh-5@3 V 1/2 year with no heatspreader. Its pretty damn cool ( Good aircooling case.)
Now i try @3,1 v. But better its heatspreader installed. Will be soon.

do you do this with a volt mod to the mobo or the ocz booster?
