What's missing? My TCCD no good on Neo2?

All,
I got a pair of PMI Turbo pC3200 (2-2-2-5) TCCD 2 x 256mB
It ran like MAD in my K8NS @ 310HTT, 1:1, 2.5-3-3-7 @ single channel.
I was hoping for some BIG #'s on my new Neo2....
But no dice :( It tops out at about 255 dual channel... 2.5-3-3-7.
Maybe I'm missing something here, I'll do more research especially on OnePageBooks posts...

On the other hand, my BH-5 runs great at 305HTT, 250mHz, 2-2-2-5, 3.7v

I'm getting the same result as you C. With my 1GB or G.Skill, I get memtest errors at 255 2.5-3-3-7 2.85v DC 1T. Do let us know when you cracked the code :D

Charlie......same problem here with 2 sticks of gskill.
On epox 8kdaj 754 board, both sticks tested bench stable up to 305mhz 2.5-3-3-7 1t 1:1 with 3700+. On k8n neo2 with 3500+ in dual channel 1:1, highest they will go at same voltage and settings is 230-240. I havent had much time to do much benching, but these were my initial results..
I realize that running dual channel is more demanding on mems/mem controller, but I still couldnt find a way to get them up to speed ie- voltages,timings, settings etc.

I have a spare Asus A8V Rev2, might hook it up later if I have the time and see how the G.Skill performs on it.

charlie - change the 7 in your mem timings to a 10 and see if that helps you any more?

im running ocz 3200 rev2 tccd @ 270 1:1 2.5-3-3-10 1T right now - the core is @ stock speeds 270x8 = 2200mhz (3500+ newcastle)

these sticks can hit 300 easily in single channel but dual channel knocks the wind out of their sails for sure.......im trying to find a little more out of them yet ...

I think Samsung triggered some remote "suck a$$ mode" on all their TCCD. I couldn't get past 255 either 2.5-3-3-10 1T on my A8V Rev 2. I subsequently killed something after that and board won't boot lol.

LOL, couldn't agree more! I just tried the G.Skill with my AI7 and 2.8C, the result is nearly the same with the 3200+ and NEO2. :mad:

When i tried my Geil TCCD ram on the A8V i was unable to do 1T even at 250HTT 2.5-3-3-7, but now i switched to the Neo2 the max i can get out of this ram is 273HTT @ 2.5-3-3-7 with 2.8V.

2.5-2-2-7 is too tight set it to 2.5-3-3-7

Have you updated the BIOS to version 1.35 Beta or later? This helped a lot for me.

Neo 2 has certain bad batch..especially on before 0418A2 of NF3 chip... Pick the chip made in Korea;)

No wonder eshbach hit 291fsb, those sticks own in single channel but dual channel is very hard on those! I have to warn my friend(s) not to buy those if they plan to run dual channel, they will be disapointed to get only 240-250fsb :( can you run single channel, charlie? also what happened to your fx53 at 3GHz?

Arj, I am not 100% with this assumption but I tried 4 MSI boards all with those problem either got dimm 2 &4 can't do DC with 1,3 (which means no matter how you put 12 or 23 slot they arel all single channel) or some raid 0 probs.

I certainly won't be recommending gskill right now! LOL

Do check out the Mushkin L2 V2 as well. People are getting 2-2-2-5 with 3.3v with it.

Do you think I can RMA the rams? The sticker says it can do 275Mhz 2.5-3-3-7 but I'm getting Prime/Memtest errors at 250Mhz!
