MSI is turning out a board...I would either go for the MSI, ASUS or the DFI. But would go for an ASUS or MSI first than later on get the DFI.

The best nF4 Mobo is the one that makes you happiest !
;)
As far as performance is concerned all of the A64 Mobos are pretty equal because the memory controller is built into the A64 CPU. If you're into overclocking some Mobos may offer more tweaking options but the hardware still has pretty specific limitations. Cranking the voltage beyond reasonable just causes premature failures as many have documented in all forums.

that's somehow a "stupid" question ;)
there isn't any nF4-board out on the market right know, so, maybe the DFI will be the carppiest board ever....or the MSI will be that and so on ;)
just w8 a few weeks and look at some reviews ;)

The Frooplinscuzzer rev 2.567^36 S
It has 36 channel surround sound and onboard terabit lan. Plus it doubles as a Pamela Anderson love-doll.

Man.... a Pamela Anderson love doll  , I heard if you push it beyond 300 fsb it can yield a Mila Jovovich or even sometimes a Paris if you keep it cool enough :slobber: .

Not because she is prettier, far from it, but because she attracts a lot of attention, like a 300 1:1 board would. Bah, I'll stop rambling along now :toast: .

I would advise reading this article before buying a Nforce 4 in the near future.

So what?
That's not even production silicon...of course it can have problems...

"All of the early Nforce 4 motherboards that you will get from now till A03 silicon will be limited to 4X HT"
This line must mean something other than what I understand it to mean then?

HTT doesn't really matter to overclockers when you bring it down to 3x anyways. I don't see this being an issue. Tests comparing different HT modes show minimal (if any) gains from the higher multipliers in real world apps.

that doesn't care you, but it cares the developers of the boards, like MSI, DFI, etc ;)
they won't bring boards easily which can't do LDTx5 - that's a marketing-thing ;)

HTT may not matter that much but I bet it is in general not HTT friendly. While 3x may help... it may not go as high as a board that could run out the box 200*5 and then still clock a bit, which would also have the option for 3x. If you believe that article, the interference is the cause and that doesnt bode well. 3XX HTT * 3 is still damn near 1000HTT.
The point though really is liek Soul said... these chips are not going to see the light of day. Maybe there will be some "lite" version to dump them but I doubt it. The article is just saying nV is having problems.... maybe this is why we still dont have them.... You dont see A1 boards out while they work this out.
