doom3 timedemo confusion

i wanted to try doom3 timedemo

opened my benchmark winxp run timedemo at 2.6c default x800pro default got 50.3 fps in 1024*768 hq

then overclocked my x800pro to 575/600 every other thing is same run it again and got 51.1 fps :confused:

then overclocked cpu to 250 fps again x800pro overclocked 575/600 and this time got 51.7 fps what is happening ?????? :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

decided to run doom3 timedemo

here is the results

timedemo hq 1024*768 aa as off


1. run
2.6c default
x800pro default
result 50.3

2. run
2.6c default
x800pro 575/600
result 51.1

3. run
2.6c q 250 fsb
x800pro 575/600
result 51.7

4.9 cat + hotfix is the driver i am so :confused: :confused: :confused: what am i doing wrong

you run it with 'timedemo demo1 usecache' command?

P4EE result w/ same settings (3820MHz, x800xtpe, 8.07 beta driver):

yes vsynch is off but dont know about the usecache command will try it

Hm, your result looks pretty low.
With my 2nd Sys I got around 48fps

Maybe you "should" clock your 2.6c a bit before benching.

now got 71.1 with 2.6c @250fsb rams 5:4 x800pro @ 575/600 1024*768 hq is this ok?

EDIT: also i thought this is about overclocking
