View Full Version : OCZ's New PC3700 Plat. EL (2-3-3-8) - What chips is it using?

Hey. I know they have some guys that work for OCZ here, so I figure one of them would know. What chips are these modules using? Are they the TCCD chips? If so, why are they rated better than the ones used in the Rev.2 Plat.? Any help would rock, Thanks!

Yes they are indeed TCCD. Of all the TCCD we have at OCZ these ones are the best. They hold cas 2 better than the others. Now it seems samsung did a die change and they seem to like voltage more than before (all TCCD not just the ones on the pc3700 platinum)

Yeah, they're the same TCCD but Samsung made some modification to the design recently and this resulted in a better performing chips.

anyone got the model number of these OCZ ram sticks then................... as there is a huge catalog of gold/platinum/ i need to make sure i get the right ones

I think those are the ones I have but they say eb....just got mine. I don't think they have anymore eb and the new stuff is tccd.

Well then my question is what is the difference between the two? Is there an difference between the making of the modules? Are the cips in the New PC-3700 EL tested to be better?

just this 3700 tend to oc better aka works at CAS 2 at 466 DDR
