my friend arbiter was working on maxing the bh5 now i wanted pics from him about his work but he said he doesnt want to give pics before finishing the job but finally he accepted to give me some pre screenies :D.
ram:kingston hyperx 3500 bh5
cpu:newcastel 3400+
board:eopx 8kda3j rev2.2
bios:7/16
colled:arbiter waterbox (system made by arbiter himself :D)
psu:tt420 3.3 rail moded to 4v
this is a non stable ss he says he can run into windows unstable at 295 and get a screen too

but before 287 link here is a 280 2-2-2-5 link

ok, it is really somehow sweet....but on the result you can see, that it isn't that good.....i got with my old 3700EB @ 3-3-2-8-1T @ 260MHz exactly 4000MB/s @ singlechannel.....
with my gskill @ 275MHz @ 2.5-3-3-7-1T i get something about 4200MB/s....
so i suppose, that's 2T CMD, right ?

Also newcastle s754 have high memtest86+ mem bandwidth clock for clock from clawhammer s754s as you can see from 3700+'s unbuffered bandwidth vs 3400+ newcastles

Is it just me that dont really see why 2-2-2 is so good ?
I see no good in sandra and no good in SuperPI compared to looser timing +30mhz fsb.
Is the good old 2-2-2 days over on AMD ?

Someone explain something to me. I hit 35sec superpi 1mb with a Claw 3400+ @ 2.45ghz (10x245 1T, 3700EB 3-3-3-8-11), how is that as fast as a 3400+ NC at 2.587ghz (9x287 2T, BH-5 2-2-2-5-11)?
Does having 1mb L2 and 1T really matter that much?

WesM63, 1mb cache and 1T is a big performance boost ... i find the 1mb cache on clawhammer 3700+ makes up for the lower bandwidth clock for clock compared with the s754 newcastle cpus.

You the fault i burned my ATI9800 pro =)
Was trying to beat your score and upped gpu to 1.95 volt on the last run.
It wasnt good, now its checkerboard =)))
Does tref 15.6us make it more stable ?

ouch sorry to hear about your 9800pro.. reason i never volt mod cards just shove massive cfm air pressure over the heatsink :D
200mhz 15.6 gives me the best performance/memory bandwidth balance... 166mhz 7.8 gives me lowest bandwidth hehe

hi eva, very nice results! :toast:
I've had 2 sticks of 512M Corsair XMS3500 BH5 for almost 2 years now but have never put more than 2.8v through them until yesterday. The most they'd ever done was about 217fsb until I put 3.3v through them and so far they've been stable at about 265fsb 2,2,2,5 - 2t, thanks to this DFI board and it's high vdimm. :)
gonna put some more volts through them and see how high I can get, and try and boost the max 1t speed (only does about 247 atm).
Also, do you have a link for that Smartguardian version you're using? All I managed to find was a SiS version on the ITE site, which doesn't seem to work right.
thanks.

You need to boot @ 3.5v, then dial up the booster to your running voltages before windows loads......it's easier if you have two partitions so the OS gives you time. Running a single OS wont give you time unless you made a fake bootloader:D

Uh, just look at the voltage on the booster display. You need to drop to 3.5 on DFI or you wont be able to boot. 3.5 on booster display= 3.65 in SmartGuardian......at least for me;)
