Great.
What type of cooling and what voltage through the chip?
Is this a stable overclock? I mean can you run Sisoft sandra or 3D mark ???
Or is it just a high WCPUID screenshot ;)
EDIT: reading your sig answered the cooling question ;)

You can send me the pics and i'll put them online for you.
Or, you could "attach" a picture to your post. One picture per post max tho...
looks like our Entuscan doesnt have the worlds luckiest 2400+ then I guess

Congratulations are in order then.
2.3Vcore, isn't that pushing it? Even with a prommy?
For me going from 2.175V to 2.225v didn't do anything to go higher.
Maybe I should give 2.3V a try then, but I am quite afraid of going that high.
Don't wan't to blow the chip

Heat is the culprit not the voltage :)

part of overclocking is know when to call it a day.... dont blow your chip m8 ... I can tell you chances are pretty slim you'll ever find another 2400+ that can come even within 100 MHz of where you are now!
Get yourself a R 9700 and do some 3D would you?
and please upload a project so we can all check out the compare link :)
Very impressive overclock !

Some good advice there, and if you can't afford a 9700 someone send this man one! And crowsepirix please either use the attach file when you type up a reply to post a picture or send them here (dinadebs@attbi.com) and I will send you the link to them or put them up for you:)

WTF Your at 2.3V already and now you still want to push the Vcore up??
Prommy's are great, but they can't do miracles !!!
Go for the maximum stable overclock you can go, without pushing to those extremes. Personally 2.2 is the max I would go (for benching or so). Remember that stock is just 1.65V!
Blowing the chip just ain't worth it m8.
-30°C under load is great for a prommy, mine gives -28 @2.175V
Yours goes cooler with more voltage, that's great.
Now come on share those WCPUID, but most important SISOFT Sandra CPU benchmark screens and a 3Dmark run compare url (don't mind the score, just to prove the stabel overclock).
I did so too and i'm just on a 56K modem for now :(
A picture of the full week/stepping would be greatly appreciated by many here to ;)
Maybe one more thing, how high did you get your chip on stock voltage?

Entuscan,
personally I would have no problem running 2.3 24/7 but thats just me. I have not heard of any AMD chips buckling under extreme voltages, in fact they seem to continue scaling at higher voltages than the Palomino's. 2.3 is getting close tho, I wouldnt do 2.4. I also doubt the chip has much left in it at 2.3V.

When upping the voltage from 2.175 to 2.225V doesn't do anything I'm guessing the chip is on it's *ss :(
Granted that WRPEDIT (or something) might get me higher but I've never used that so can't tell.
Max voltage all the time is verry risky with an KD7 imho, a few boards died due to overheating. When running a few houres on 2.175V the board is getting pretty hot.
I have a better cooler on the Northbridge and small heatsink on the southbridge that I used on KX7 and KR7A, (but those boards never got so hot on similar voltages).
The tempsensors on the board are way of (luckily on die isn't). I'm getting about 35°C ambien case temp on first boot (with an open case) and a whopping 50°C when running a while.
Even if the sensors are off, the % increase in measurement is a lot.
Maybe watercooling the northbridge etc will keep it safe, but on air,......
I'm not going to risk it. This chip is great for setting up a powerfull, high OC aircooled system. With a max of 1.85Vcore or so she would still perform great (i'm guestimating around 2.5ghz on air).
Then I might be getting a prommy for my self, seems that new prommy's are much better then the one I haven.
-30°C @2.3Vcore vs my -28,-27°C @2.175vcore is a nice differance.
Or maybe my evaporator head isn't seated right (if this is even possible with the prommy?)

Don't want to be "the party-pooper" but I want something else then a WCPUID at atleast that 2820mhz ;)
getting the highest WCPUID isn't an art (or OC) for me.
That's like having a Porsche bodyshell in the garage, but it with a Lada engine on board

well a 2800 MHz WCPUID wouldnt be too hard, a 2900 MHz+ one would be though no matter how you turn it.
Obviously a 3D2K1 compare link is ideal. At this point, any screenshots would be nice ;)

Damn fine job my man on that "dog";) Is that on the KD7 and at what volts my friend??
You guys are all doing a fine job....the world is watching you all right now and I and XtremeSystems are very proud of your accomplishments. OPP...if I get that 2800Mhz screenie tonight I'll publish yours and his in one news release. If his doesn't show I'll send yours out alone....the boyz of Xtreme DO have the best overclockers in the world bar none...Intel or AMD. Keep up the GREAT work my friends:toast:

I'm very skeptical about the original poster's overclock.
I don't know any overclocker, not to mention this overclock makes him an extreme one, who 1: doesn't know how to take a screenshot 2: doesn't know how to get compare links (which take a couple minutes) 3: doesn't have a host to upload pics 4: doesn't know how to post pictures on Vbulletin forums (the most popular on the Net)........and 5: This is an excellent achievement, perhaps a dream achievement for any overclocker. One will always prepare all the proofs before he posts on any forum.
