View Full Version : DDR Booster = No Stability

I've just installed a DDR booster, and set the bios to 2.6v. According to the reading in bios I've got the booster running my RAM at 2.93v which is what I was running it at before. Problem is, now I'm getting reboots when sat idle in windows.

Any idea as to a reason?

Got the booster in an nf7-s slot 1 btw

Now I've turned the booster down as far as it will go, and set the board to 2.9v. That appears to have solved the problem for now, but what;s going to happen when I try to push further?

Confused doesnt even come close!

Cheers

1# is your mobo supported? 2# what memory are you using? 3# which slot is it in? 4# does you memory liek using the extra voltage. 5# how far are you pushing it?

As I say in the original post, i'm using slot 1 on on NF7-S. It is supported, all the way to 3.4v. The RAM is corsair BH6 and PSU a OCZ Powerstream.

I think you are missing the point that it was perfectly stable at the same settings without the booster, and upping what the bios is set to has helped matters.

On OCZ compatiblity chart says for the NF7-S to use the booster in slot 3.

I know, but the site is wrong. Apparently OCZ counted from the edge of the board inwards.
