Manny Ortez was the MVP?

I hope you taped this. You'll have to wait another 86 years.

Did anyone watch the games? I watched maybe 4 innings of the first game and it was boring.

1923, 1927, 1928, 1932, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1941, 1943, 1947, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1956, 1958, 1961, 1962, 1977, 1978, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000.
Think they can catch up?

Another thing. In the last 5 World Series, there have been 5 different winners.

Flash, it's a joke. John Kerry referred to David Ortiz or Manny Ramirez as Manny Ortez.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/gammons/story?id=1842904 Read the 2nd point under News And Notes.

Now I have to say that I am glad the Sox won. And my favorite baseball player is Curt Schilling..... "Tell everybody to vote. And vote Bush next week."

----- and if you're gonna say anything about politics and baseball, don't do it. People want to boycott a company that Schilling is a spokesman for because of what he said.

Nah, don't think we can catch up anytime soon but I KNOW we won't be able to top your most dramatic and utterly unfathomable total collapse that is considered the worst in professional sports.

Congrats dude :toast:

curse of arod = NEVER won a championship with him on it...

eddy is perfect example of yankee fans all over the world that cannot comprehend their teams total, utter, complete, annihilation by the bosox. The sox were simply the better team, eddy. It happens sometimes. It's okay. The world is not over. Xtremesystems is still up. Just breathe and let the emotions go, eddy.

Wait till next year :p: Maybe the yanks will be better then. As the New Haven Register said today "The yanks have lost their edge. but rest assured, next year Steinbrenner will buy it back".

Which is why the entire world is enjoying this spectacle to the fullest. Next year the yanks will prolly breach 200 mil and almost double the closest competitor, redsox (130ish, reducing next year). They will prolly be better till George dies. But they're not now :toast:

You know. You have something there. I am a perfect example of a Yankee fan. I want perfection all of the time. I go to work every day. I try really hard to do everything I have to do. I get it done. And it's as perfect as it can be. I accept the fact that things are not always perfect. You lose sometimes. But you learn from it. Next time you go out, you remember where you went wrong and what you learned and you try as hard as you can to make sure you don't make the same mistake again.

And if you're going to say anything about Steinbrenner, look at things on a lower level. Take for example the people here who score high in 3dmark. They buy really expensive hardware for their computers. Most of the time, if something isn't fast enough, they go out and get a new part. If they want the highest 3dmark score out there, most of the time, they put as much money as possible into it. Just like with the Yankees.

And I am sorry. If I did my math correctly, it's not 2090. It's 2037. About an average of 33 years between World Series wins for the Boston Red Sox.
