now that the sli seems to make nvidia the king

Famous Quote from Shakepeare's Hamlet: "Seems, madam! nay it is; I know not 'seems.'"

If its one thing we can learn from the above line, its that we shouldn't make assume any company has made any presumptious gains over the other without the facts - which happened to be quite clear in a recent announcement showing ATI ahead of card sales by at 20%. We dont actually know the extent to which SLI will help Nvidia as it certainly will not reach the value market, where most of the customers will go and where ATI has and continues to remain king - without a doubt that is.

As for the alienware system, I dont know if you've seen this article from The Inquirer before:

its weird to think ati is in the lead now, i thought most of the mainsteam/low end would be geforce 4 mx440 and fx 5200.

That was last year and the year before r3b0rN. People would rather buy 9200se and 9600se and other junk.

and perkam..i meant king as in fast,...also, the x800 and 6800 i think are pretty much equal in performance..but the nvidia has the edge with ps3 and that mpeg 2 encoding(i think that's it)

Unless they can get the cost of a system like that to less than 1600$ i think everyone on this website is with you on that one
