MSI RX9800PRO Green PCB...

Hi friends, someone has this GPU @9800XT, i have tried to flash with Medion XXL BIOS which i have read that it was the good one for this PCB but i have modified the defaults clocks (390/338) to the XT clocks and no lucks. Can someone help me please? THX

Read up and they'll tell you exactly what you need. Make sure you follow the 128MB card instructions.

I have tried to flash with the BIOS Medion XXL with the XT frecuencies but no lucks. Have you tried it?, i will try with 390/338 but this frecuencies arent the XT ones. Have you this GPU? I have read that Windows recognizes it as XT but mines not, in System Devices i have the 9800 PRO and AIDA tells me the same R350, but my CORE is 360...Have you your original bios?, thx.

I'm not familiar with Medion XXL, but I used the tutorial that I linked to there and it worked perfectly on mine (Sapphire 9800 Pro with R360 core). It gives you the right BIOS for your the type of RAM on your card, and the tutorial even lists the MSI Radeon 9800 Pro as being flashable.

AIDA says your card is an R350 because you still have the 9800 Pro BIOS installed. 9800 Pros are supposed to have R350 cores, so that is what your video card's BIOS reports to AIDA. If you flash it with the correct XT card BIOS, then the core will be correctly recognized as R360. AIDA doesn't actually check any hardware-based things, it just reports what the BIOS says.

I thought that msi card came with the 9800xt core already??

yes, it came with 360core, i know people with the same GPU that Windows recognizes as XT with stock bios, mine as PRO.My bios date is July 04 and them March 04. I have tried to flash with them one and all the programas recognize it as XT but my BIOS is more new!!!, its possible that MSI release a BIOS to fix this problem of recognition?. I am with old bios now(March) but with the freq modified to 412/365; my doubt now is to know if this bios will be a real XT BIOS...thx

I have a MSI RX9800 Pro-TD128 and was wondering if anyone could possible send me the original bios that shipped with this card. I attempted to flash it to a 9800XT and was unsuccessful. But, I forgot to backup the original bios to flash back. So if anyone has an original copy, could they please send it to me at overclocker1969@cogeco.ca Thank you.
