Post a piccy of the card...there has got to be a regulator...and hopefully not the same crap they did when they layed out the NU card.

this is the best I can do.
since I don't have a decent digital camera, I can't really take pictures of anything with any detail.
this is the best pic I can get. it comes from the Xbit labs review of the card I want to mod.

the Asus 6800 NU Gamers Edition.
this card is a NU, but it's nothing like a NU, it's got GDDR3, comes clocked at 350/1000, and has alot more closer layout to the 6800 Ultra then anything.
I used Shaminos 6800 Ultra mod for the GPU core on this card, and it worked perfect.
now I just need alittle more Vmem :)

People say that DDR3 doesn't respond well to overvolting, so no one has bothered...

if no ones botherd, then how come they know?

also--- doesn't Opp get like 660+ mhz from GDDR3 on his X800XT's like every other day? that sounds like it responds just fine ;)

Kunaak,

The chip numbers?

Kunaak

ok, the chips your asking about have really really tiny print thats barely visible so I can't garauntee the numbers are correct. I spent about 5 minutes staring at them and trying to figure "is that a 3, and 8, or a B?"
so after some time, this is the best I can see on these chips.

the small one to the left in the picture above.

Topline-165361B
bottom-P3328PS.

the Bigger chip the right in the picture above.

Topline-FP445F
Bottom-74ACT08.

thats as close as I can read from these chips.
I am fairly sure the numbers from the big chip are right, or atleast close.
but the ones from the small chip, I am sure atleast a few are wrong.
it's hard to tell what some of them are.

Are there any logos on those chips Kun, and out of morbid curiousity, what are the markings on the larger IC to the left of those chips and above that yellow diode?

no logos on the chips.
gimme awhile on getting the numbers from the chip your asking about.

(I just came to get a refresh lock-I am playing doom 3 tonight)

the part number from the chip hellfire asked about.

every clear and easy to read so it should be accurate.

Top Line : F75375S
Middle Line: G422LAB
Bottome Line: F13114.1

and lardarse.

the big chip does have a Italic F as it's first letter, the rest is plain straight up and down letters.

The big chip IS fairchild but it doesnt seem to be the voltage regulator.

I am attempting to get some help with some photos from other people with similar cards, and came across something interesting...

the EVGA 6800 Limited edition, is completly missing the "small chip" from the pics posted here. I wonder what that means...

anyways, I asked for help in this post idnetifying the chips, from other people who might be able to more clearly give the proper numbers from each chip.

I think this IC is controlling the fan for the core.
