Well since the TEC setup I was going to get is going to cost me a lot of money since it's a lot more difficult and pricey to get in canada from a US retailer (Haev to pay for shipping, customs, tax and whatnot), I think I'm just going to get a Nventiv Prometeia Mach 2. It will turn out to be cheaper since I won't pay shipping, tax, or for customs.
The only downside is, No cooling for the GPU, I'll have to stick to my old watercooling setup for that :(
Would you guys reccommend the Mach 2 for my a64 3500?
I'd like to hear all of your comments about the Mach 2 please :D
-thanks

Your kidding right :D ?
Ofcause I think everybody would recommend a MACH II over a tec any day.
You could always buy a Mach II now and then watercool the rest and get yourself another one for the gpu at a later date :D

Just buy yourself one of those Artic Cool silencers they work pretty well.
I love my Mach IIGT. (for the most part atleast, when I screw up the condensation proofing I yell at the Mach II to make me feel better)

My suggestion is to get the Mach II, and later bolt the then spare CPU air cooler onto your gfx card and give it heaps.

Installing the M2? mine came with an instruction manual which pretty much tells you everything, except that you should put dielectric grease in the socket.
btw- id recommend the M2 and a TEC gpu setup, i already have a water system, im gonna add a TEC to the gpu for christmas.

definatly get the machII. Or a vapochill ls, their about as good and come stock with the pretty aluminum case for a lower price. Id say with a machII or a vapochill ls you could get 2900mhz-3ghz at least with that chip, if its doing that on the stock hsf and stock voltage.

since when is the mach 2 650? It must be the ST without the LCD or controller.. the machII original is the same price as the LS, and the machII gt is a bit more.
looked at kit-tronics.com the machII st is $700 the LS is $900

Kit Tronics is a great place, i got my M2 through their ebay auction, see if they put another one up, you can get it for a fair bit less that way.

the damn lian li package is so much more money......
I think I just may buy one of the new Huge lian li's that have the psu and everything at the bottom and try to custom my mach 2 into that with some kind of covering.........
bah sorry im just thinking :D

yeah quite rediculous :(
well i was planning on going with watercooling before so i was on the waiting list for the backorded swiftech mcw6002-64.
I bought it last week, still haven't installed it, and now it will just be a waste of cash and waiting time lol.......
guess its time to sell it?
hmm........ maybe i should slap it in there with my gpu watercooling circuit until I get my mach 2?

You should sell it and put the cash towards a mach II. Ive been the tec route and have found that it was for the most part expensive and pointless, and netted very very little gain over standard watercooling. If i had to do it again id jump straight into phase change, but I did learn a lot about insulation from my time having a tec (i had one last december).
