Well previously I had a water setup for my old xp2500 setup that I had running 2.75 24/7 at 1.95vcore. I just got a new A64 system inclusing a A64 3500+ and a Asus A8V deluxe. I figure I'm ready for a tec setup, and have been reasearching them for the past few months, learning exactly how they work, the proper ways to prevent condensation and whatnot. I figure I'm ready to get into a bit more extreme cooling and am thinking of going with a CPU and GPU TEC cooling system.

I was just wondering if anyone who knows a lot about tecs can help me decide on a setup?

I had this in mind: (however, I already bought a Swiftech MCW6002 for A64 waterblock :()

Would this all work together (psu handle the 2 pelts?)

MEAN WELL S-320-12 Power Supply
Danger Den Dual Heater Core (with double sided shroud [does this work?])
4* Delta 150CFM 120mm fans (push/pull config)
Danger Den HDP stepped reservoir
10 Feet Tygon Tubing
Danger Den Maze 4-1 CPU Block for A64 (brass top config)
226 watt Pelt from Danger Den
Danger Den Maze 4-1 GPU Block for ATI Radeon
80 watt Pelt from Danger Den
10* Hoseclamps

how about this, go with the swifty MCW5002-64T and the MCW50-T. The MCW50-T has been proving many times to out-perform the MAZE4-1 because of a direct TEC cooling setup. Other than that, I think its ok. But, I think with that enormous heat load of two pelts, you might want to get two dual heatercore, even people cooling only CPUs go that route. It wont cost too much more, but save a few Cs. My two cents... :banana4:

so the mcw50-t is a lot better?

any proof?

run the 80w tec off your psu :)

I've never heard of the swifty performing better than the maze4 either

MEAN WELL S-320-12 Power Supply
good, but maybe you can find a cheap good atx psu that has enough amps to power this tec as well, you might save 50$ here...

Danger Den Dual Heater Core (with double sided shroud [does this work?])
yes should work, but it depends on what videocard you run and id rather recommend you two dual rads and 2 fans with a shroud on each rad, same noise but better temps, and it leaves you the option to upgrade the mcw50-t tec to a 227W tec you will need to get low temps if you go for a new videocard like a 6800 or x800

4* Delta 150CFM 120mm fans (push/pull config)
great fans! best to get afaik
Danger Den HDP stepped reservoirno idear...

10 Feet Tygon Tubing
great

Danger Den Maze 4-1 CPU Block for A64 (brass top config)
try the 6000, might actually be better than the maze4!

226 watt Pelt from Danger Den
search ebay... maybe you can get it fro half the price

Danger Den Maze 4-1 GPU Block for ATI Radeon
mcw50-t hands down :D

80 watt Pelt from Danger Den
depends on what card you have

10* Hoseclamps
i heard zip ties are better? not sure...

1. yes the mcw 50-t is def better than the maze4 when it comes to tec cooling.
2. id also recommend you to run the 80Wer of your main psu (dont know the specs of the meanwell though, just check the specs of the meanwell and see if it has got enough amsp to power both tecs)
3. that new swifftech block might work better than the maze4 cpu block with a tec actually! its design is perfect for a tec block, and its cooling performence is very nice.
id say try that block with a tec first, could be thats its the new "cpu tec block to get" :)

what pump do you have or plan to get?
