I will play it sometime, i liked doom3 but i dont think it lived up to all the hype good game and i still play HL1 but we will see I will play but dont know if i would call in sick to get it to play LOL

that's the most stupid thing, that Valve will do - u've to buy the game (ok, nothing special) but then u've to REGISTER via steam....what's with people, who don't have internet? (sure, there aren't a lot, but what if)....Valve = xtreme stupid :rolleyes:

not really...a lot of people disliked steam when it first came out because there were minor connectivity problems

but it has to be one of the smartest things done by valve. it is pretty much impossible to pirate any of the new games, and all your very good games like day of defeat...counterstrike...half life 2 and any new valve games will be very well organized and accessible through one program.


oh and i preordered it a few weeks ago..got the silver package cause i like day of defeat a lot and why not spend 10$ and get condition zero and day of defeat....not to mention a bunch of other worthless games ;)

first: if they dont have internet...do you really think theyre going to buy a $50 game? if they cant afoard internet ...they cant afoard hl2. and is it that big of a problem to goto a library / internet cafe / steal a aol disc from k-mart? internet for a 5min process really isnt that hard

and seriously....dialup is like 10$ a month. please tell me how you cannot fork up 10$ a month when you can spend over 50$ on a game

steam is alright, once they get the friends network working well it'll kick ass

can't wait for nov 16th :) especially after pcgamer giving hl2 a 96% rating (hl1 got 94%)
