The teamless users are grouped together. Their group is in 4th place so it bumps the reset of the ranks down a notch. So subtract 1 from the Free-DC stats and you will have out real position.

Tried multiple ram/cpu/psu/other peoples known good equipment, it was a no go, one day it might magically work

i keep all my rigs in the case and dont eat on them :P

i think this short spin and then turn off happens when the board has the case or dirt short cutting it (=external short cut) or is dead (=internal short cut).

i tried to force the board to start by shorting the green and black wire of the atx plug while it was plugged to the board. this always worked for the kt266a boards in my folding machines, but it doesnt work here... psu shuts down and the enermax need a rest before its starts again, indicating that it was a securtiy shut down because it was shorted...

glad i still have warranty so im rmaing this one tomorrow.

im just pissed that i have to pay the shipping! rma in europe=crap :/

:D I like it! Be aware that buffering can be risky! I would check and see how your computer likes D2OL first... or better yet...

If you start a new node let it run as normal... BUT don't add it to your list of nodes in your D2OL home page... :D When you add it to your list it will then register your points it has crunched... just like a buffer dump :D

The Intellistation is questionable... I think its wireless connection is dead...

The single Xeon 2.8 is off till Monday...

Technology has been kicking my ass here as of late! You wouldn't believe all of the troubles I've been having with my main rig... For some reason it has forgotten that it has a P4 with HT in it... :rolleyes: Only 1 CPU shows up in the task manager... The BIOS is right...

I've brought this PC back from the dead 3 times in the last week... the last one was a broken SATA tab on one of my Raptors :( It blew up the RAID array.

Before that I tried to install iMesh Lite and it totally whipped out my Sys32 directory (Along with EVERY driver for the PC... which is what I'm thinking is wrong with the HT)

I've saved it every time without doing a format & reload! :D That would have been to damn easy!

All and all it's been a crappy week!

I am overclocking a couple computers for a friend and my router only lets one port work.....sometimes :confused: i've messed with this thing for two days and know it's the router. i've got one comp that already finished it's default 200 cands. ahhhhh :mad:

I figured out the problem. That part of the sig is case sensitive for your username. So if you change it to "Nicke" (which is how it is formatted for the official D2OL stats), it should work fine. When I get a chance, I'll set it up so they don't have to be case sensitive.

I have found that even if you relax the timings to get a better OC that is can actually hurt your production... I was surprised by that myself... but then again it may have just been my setup.

hmmm had a little fiddle with it and the shuttle won't post at 2-2-2 The ram is CH-5 or BH-5 according to Steve at OCZ so ought to be able to hit 2-2-2 timings with ease, I've certainly had them running 250 2-2-2 in my A64 rig anyway. Problem is I can not find the VDIMM voltage setting for the life of me :stick: bah I can live with 2-3-3 for now.

Well the sempron 2200+ is now at 9x240 (2.5 3 3 11) up from 9x200 and the A64 is at 10x265 1:1 (2.5 3 3 8 1t) up from 10x245 (166 divider). So although my production had dropped a little (benching and rebuilding) it should start to go up again now. Ive only got 3 active nodes (out of my 6 listed) so nearly 350 average isnt bad so far and that should hopefully go up.

I think some BIOSes support USB booting. If your's doesn't, just use knoppix to as an OS and then save D2OL on to a USB key drive and use that for your home drive. That way, if you ever need to reboot, you wouldn't need to install D2OL again. You can also save your knoppix settings onto the USB key drive so you don't have to configure it each time.

Knoppix should give you an internet connection. When you install D2ol it should install into the ramdrive that gets created by knoppix so as long as you dont turn the system off it "should" be fine. If not there are some distros out there that can run off a usb boot www.distrowatch.com

Why not look on fleabay for a cheap laptop drive, you dont need a big one.

I'll second RealVNC being a top-notch program. I use that in combination with another remote software program(we do need to keep secrets sometimes ;)) to gain access to my home network. I've used VNC since before it went "Real" and it's always worked great.
