I'm having a lot of problems with my Mach II due to a faulty evap head sensor and a screwy controller. Is there a method whereby I can just circumvent all this technology and just have an on/off switch? I mean, just turn it on, wait a minute or so 'til it gets cold and then switch on the PC.

Take a 12V transformer and wire it into a toggle switch and attach it to the relay inside of the prommy. You probably want around a 1amp transformer because I think it needs to power the fans too. (Or do they use AC fans on prommies?)

I was thinking just put a switch to the 12V connector, then pull the USB connector and power-on connectors off. With the 12V off the Mach II should think the PC is turned off and power down. With it on and no other physical connection to the motherboard it should run in "NO SHUTDOWN" mode. I'm just thinking will there be power to the anti-condensation heating element that way?

If you want a simple on off swich (120Vor 220V) disconnect the unit from 120V power, usinf a small blade screw driver disconnect the power wires from the controller, there will be 2 blacks and 2 whites wire nut or solder and insulate teh white wires and install a single pole swich across the other two. For the fans connect them directly th=ot the Computer power supply.
