core/mem voltage affected by above spec 12/5 V lines?

Hi,

I was wondering if the core and memory (and other) voltages are affected by a voltmodded PSU and more in particular when the 12 and/or 5 volt lines are running above spec since modern day videocards draw their power from a molex.


I would think not but it's better to know for sure ey ;)

no they get regulated back down at the card...

enzoR is correct...the onboard regulators pull the current to where it should be.

The only things I have noticed with cards and modded supplies is that the connetors can get burnt from time to time. Like with a modded supply and the molex for a tec graphics cooler.
