I know the buss system or lack of it with PCI-E is much faster as they say But I see the speeds of the new vid cards and read some of the reviews from users and they dont get better 3dmark score. Whats up are these realy faster in real world perfomance. Anyone have them please share your info. :sofa:

today's graphics cards cant use all of PCIX's bandwidth, hence no performance gain
even AGP isnt all used up

only thing you would get from PCI-e is the 6800's nad SLI

well, you may be thinking why would you, while the engineers are thinking, why wouldnt you?
its nothing more than more money in their pockets (for now) ive got a feeling PCI-X will be necessary in the near future, HL3 anyone? ;)

I am woundering if the pci_e will allow the sata to finaly do 150 as well.

True,
That's just it - PCI-E isn't faster, you gain nothing (And I mean it, you gain nothing - 0.0% :D) in benchies/realworld apps by moving to it, for now (staying with AGP will be the faster, much faster option :D).
SLI option is the only advantage. :D ;)
