It will be done automatically.

Yes. all you have to do is right click on the client in the system tray (next to the clock) and select "Status". When the window pops up just click "manual update"

You don't need to stop the client or do anything special for this.

The 50 candidates you are referring to in the work that the client has queued to work on.

The client will automatically upload your completed work and download enough work to meet you buffer requirements, What ever you have the buffer set at, every 6hrs.

Right click on the systray icon. Then go to status. Finally go to manual update.

Yea, you can close it at any time and when you reopen, it will restart where it left off.

you should be able to leave it running mate. the idea is that whilst it will work at full capactiy when your not using the rig, it will also use any spare processor power when you are using it. if you open up tak manager, right click on the process name, then set its priority to "low" it will stop using cpu power when other programs your running need it. i, and im sure most people here, run the program constantly.

It's running @ 2592 Mhz now ( 216 x 12 ) which is the highest stable found with CoreCenter, but as soon as i'll learn how to overclock it correctly, i'm sure i'll go way higher. ;)

From what I understand it, a super node is several, or more, computers using the same node number.

Don't think ya need a password. Just your email addy you originally used and the original installation's node number ( per the instructions 7 and 8 at this thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=43459).

I was trying to register on the d2OL website but I cant find my nodeid since im using rodzillas service version (no interface). Is there another way I can find my nodeid?

They just showed up...I think it has something to do with the stats and that. The time zone difference makes some of my work show up on one day and the rest on another...even if its 10 here or something. So it doesn't show up until my computer days its tomorrow or something like that...bah it showed up so I'm happy :banana: :D :banana:

Damn, really cant wait to get my A64 rig up and running :) It will be nice stability testing if it can fold 24/7 (literally - nonstop for a week) when oc'd to 300*9 1T. This P4 is amazingly SLOW, but still better than a potential P3.

No wonder you're getting more people. I joined XS.org just recently, and folding is simply a great idea! While I cant afford to fold all day usually (apart from special occasions with my parents out of town or the one above), about 8 hours during the day will make at least a small difference. I have the client installed as a service on my parents pc, so they wont even know its there.

I was wondering, what if we got some of our academical institutions to run D2OL on their computers? Not necessarily for XS, but to fold in general. Those pc's in my school are up and running 12 hours a day (about 150 of them). That should be decent folding! ;)

There was something that made me download java. I've had problems installing java before but since it's a new version, it actually worked for me.

Damn, really cant wait to get my A64 rig up and running :) It will be nice stability testing if it can fold 24/7 (literally - nonstop for a week) when oc'd to 300*9 1T. This P4 is amazingly SLOW, but still better than a potential P3.

No wonder you're getting more people. I joined XS.org just recently, and folding is simply a great idea! While I cant afford to fold all day usually (apart from special occasions with my parents out of town or the one above), about 8 hours during the day will make at least a small difference. I have the client installed as a service on my parents pc, so they wont even know its there.

I was wondering, what if we got some of our academical institutions to run D2OL on their computers? Not necessarily for XS, but to fold in general. Those pc's in my school are up and running 12 hours a day (about 150 of them). That should be decent folding! ;)

If you can get the administration at your school to agree with it that would be GREAT!!!!!! Especially if they crunched under the XS Flag!

Ok, I'll ask the guy. He's kind of funny, but once he sees D2OL Daddy and the fact that it runs as a service, i hope he'll let me do it. I'll tell him its helping people (which it is!), and hopefully that will persuade him.

It would be great to fold under the XS flag :D That would be 150 2.4ghz machines folding :D

There was something that made me download java. I've had problems installing java before but since it's a new version, it actually worked for me.

I don't think you can call me a new folder. I was part of DF until it shut down and then had a problems with the java installation.
I am new to D2OL though.

There are tons of links to stats pages there. You may be interested in DSpy to keep tabs on your computer's progress. Personally I've never used it, but there's been plenty of people who have and been happy with it.

Nah i wouldnt fold under my user name. I'm sure my school would like to do it under their own name un the XS team. After all, the installation is "XS customized", and knowing the administrator he won't care too much about the name it's under, as long as it's for a better purpose.

I'll talk to him tomorrow and see how it goes :)

so that means your under the Comunity node? right?

How I do things:
1.) Download and install the D2OL offical installer
2.) Regsiture under an email address (remember which one) and let it download some cans
3.) http://app.d2ol.com/memberServices/createMember.jsp
go there and use the node number in the upper right hand corner of the GUI and the same email address
4.) get under the Xtreme system team and get to folding :D
5.) Run the D2OL installer on "hers" and use the same email address as before. Let it fold
6.) sign into your account on D2OL.com and add her node number. Remember what it is, it will give you a list of nodes that are regisutred under your email

theres other ways you can do this, but this is how i like to do it. Theres the one where it runs in the background with Rodzilla could probly help you out there.

I assume you meant to use the community installer and help out the team :up: Glad you liked it enough to create an account and join the team under your own user name! That's exactly what the community account is there for... give the project a spin and see if you like it!

.:NOTE:. I know this looks like a lot but I made it wordy to eliminate confusion... it's really simple!

To make your node, created by the community installer, stop crunching for the XtremeSystems_Community account, and start crunching under your own personal account:

You need to remove the node.prp which holds the node registration and create a new node with your registration info.

1.) Stop the XS_D2OL Service from running so you can make the changes.

Go to the service manager (Right click on your My Computer icon on the desktop and select Manage. At the bottom you should see Services...) Stop the XS_D2OL1 service. (Repeat for XS_D2OL2, 3, and 4 is you used the multiple node installers.)

Now go to the task manager and stop the Gridwin.exe task(s) (or Dockwin.exe) Do it for all of them if you used a multiple node installer (There will be multiple DockWin or GridWin task running if you did)

The D2OL Agent(s) is now stopped.

2.) Now remove the node.prp file from the "C:\XS_D2OL\D2OL1\D2OL\res" folder

This will unregistered your node from the XtremeSystems_Community account. You will then be free to re-register your agent under your own account.

Now go to the "C:\XS_D2OL\D2OL1\D2OL" and open D2OL.exe. This will start the D2OL Agent in the sys tray...

When you start the D2OL.exe file it will ask you to register the node... Use your e-mail address that you already have an account for, or plan to use to create an account. Use the same e-mail for every node you ever register. !!!***USE A REAL E-MAIL ADDRESS THAT YOU HAVE ACCESS TO***!!!

Repeat step 2 if you have any other nodes on the system created by a multiple node installer. Substitute the path to D2OL.exe and node.prp with "C:\XS_D2OL\D2OL2\D2OL" and so on for multiple node installers.

3.) If you haven't already created an account you will need to do so now. The following instructions assume that you do not have an account.

Take note of the node number(s) that were just created when you entered your e-mail for registration. To do this:

Right click on the D2OL sys tray icon and select Status. At the top select Statistics.

Here you can see your node ID and your e-mail address.

You only need to know 1 of your node ID's for registration. The rest will be available to add once your account is created.

With this information you can now create an account.

Go to this page and create your account. http://app.d2ol.com/memberServices/createMember.jsp

Enter the e-mail and a node number that you have registered.

The node that you used to activate your account will be automatically tied to your user name.

If you registered more nodes you will be able to add them by clicking on the "ADD NODE" button at the bottom of your "Team - My Home Page".

You should be ready to rock and roll!!!!!!

.:NOTE:. Any points that you have contributed to the XtremeSystems_Community account belong to that team account. It's impossible to separate them out.

Thanks for welcome all, 3.4EE 478 socket, not oc at the moment, have been running it at 220fsb on air stock vcore for few months.Putting water on it soon waiting on G5 block.At stock now because will have to reinstall soon had issue with ghost 9 on my raid 0. I made backup of .prp file & printed directions on how to reintall so hopefully all will go well.
