Since my problem got buried in the other thread:
OK I have finally done some testing and I can't get this memory up past 255 1:1 with 2.5-3-3-10 1T? I did get it to boot at 260 once but it crashed soon after a Sandra run. I hit 7,200. I have the boards VDIMM maxed at 2.8? Any suggestions? I have the HT at 800 and the multiplier is at 9 to take those both out of the equation. On a side note I am running at 240 X 12 now with 2.5-3-3-10 1T and getting 7,300 in Sandra. I know I can get more out of this RAM but I don't know what is holding me back. Are there other memory settings I need to change? Thanks..

Try 2T
1T limits my 512megs to 255 as well :)
did you try setting HT at 600?
BTW, i believe the performance drop in 2T doesn't worth.. so i always OC with 1T.

Consider yourself lucky. Mine blue (or back) screened as soon as I removed my Balistic 4000 which ran in the a8v at the same stable speed as the EB3700 253 2.5-3-2-8 in this board, and tried them in both slot sets. Since the rev 2 failed right away at the same 2.87 volts, it's outta here. Very let down. :(

HTT doesn't make a difference on the K8T800 boards, I've tried going from 1K to 600 with no difference in stability with 1T.
is it possible to have 1k (5x) HT multiplier with 260 HTT?
that's a 1300 HT speed...
For 250HTT I needed to use LDT x3, 294HTT I can use x2. Not really stable 110% stable after 294. My one doesnt really like anything above 800HTT.

I used 1000 HT with 260x11 it was prime stable for 8 hours so yeah it works fine.

Maybe I should try the newer BIOS. I am still on 1006. I can't really get over 250 stable with 800HT and 1:1 at 2.5-3-3-10 1T? I will try the new 1007 bios and see if for some reason I can get a little higher?
oh yes i recall that my TCCD would do at most 251 HTT on a8v... while the same stick would do more than 280 HTT on gigabyte k8nsnxp-939...
perhaps the a8v doesn't like TCCD......
let me know how are you going with it..
PS. I have the 1007 BIOS.

So you like the Giga board better then? I will buy another motherboard if it means I can get higher clocks. I was looking at the Giga and the MSI but decided on the Asus Rev 2 because it seemed like it was the most stable. This is my 3rd Mobo. I had 2 Rev 1.02's the 1st had working AGP/PCI locks with the Beta BIOS but died after a week for no apparent reason? It just stopped working? Then the RMA resulted in another Rev 1.02 that wouldn't lock the AGP/PCI with the BEAT bios so I bought the Rev 2..LOL so 3 down what's next? The Giga NF3 or the MSI NF3?
it seems to me that TCCD would work better on gigabyte than on asus.
