View Full Version : Does 3rd Eye show the correct temps?

Hey, I think i'm having troubles with my prommy temps.
With my old k8nnxp and a clawhamer 3400+ my temps were about -18ºC at 1'7v full load (with mbm), but this mobo doesn't have any sensor (or mbm doesn't find it) so i'm looking them with the 3rd Eye.
The problem is that at only 1'6V it shows me 00ºC idle (there is no negative temps) and +3C at full load. With 1'75V it rises to +20ºC full load... and finally windows crashes.
I've mounted 3 times the freezer and the thermal paste is in both parts, cpu and freezer, so it should be making correct contact.

At low voltages, like 1'6-1'65V i can get 2'8Ghz pi stable, if I set it to 1'7v or more can't end pi test...
Any idea?

i dont think so, it only reports the bios/cpu internal diode temps wich are not very accurate.

and that vcore problem sounds like the cpu either gets too hot (even if its minus temps) or the mobo is creating an unstable vcore with fluctuations. are you cooling the mosfets? psu rails stable?

Not...mosfets and chipset are @ default cooling. Rails are:

DDRVTT 1'52V
NB: 1'67V
HTV: 1'34V
5V: 5'24V
3V: 3'33V
5VSB: 5'19V
3VDual: 3'30V

12V: I don't know :confused:

and under load? does it fluctuate under load?

with 1.7v vcore you cant reach a speed that is stable with 1.6v vcore?

I've just seen this:

1'5Vcore:

DDRVTT is stable at 1'53V

1'65Vcore:

DDRVTT goes from 1'45V to 1'55V .... and 3VDual fluctuates too.
5V goes from 5'19V to 5'24V
The others are stable.

Will try 1'70v now.

DDRVTT goes from 1'37V to 1'53V :stick:
3VDual goes from 3'26v to 3'32V.
5V fluctuates a litle.
Others are +-0'01v stable

And yes, there are some OC that is more stable with less than more vcore.

If I set 1'8Vcore to 1'5Vcore temp goes from +24ºC to 0ºC in less than 2 seconds.


EDIT: Now with 1'50Vcore the DDRVTT flucuates too, 1'37-1'49v....
