Just because you get 10 errors on Test 5. Since that one seems to be the stress one. Does it mean the memory is completely not stable? I am assuming it is. But I can't see why I am getting errors.

I am at 265 @ 3-3-3-10 and I get 10 errors on test 5. I can bench SuperPi, SiSoft, and Prime95 Bench. Didn't run touture test yet.

I don't know why I am having so much problems with this memory when it should do it easily.

cu'z Super Pi, Prime95, Sisoft only use partial memory...

Try using 2t.

I would not recommend using a computer when it wont pass memtest. You risk Hard drive corruption.

the question is after how much run of test you get 10 errors if it is after 20th time of test and you get 10 errors from #5 it is ignorable but after just one run you got 10 errors then it might be a problem but always zero error is the best

Alright, and I can;t run 2T. I have a C0 stepping CPU.

I found bigtoes recommend settings for high clocks and I started at 274 and worked my way down and I ended up at 264 with no errors on test #5.

264 @ 2.5-4-3-0 @ 4,015GB's

i would not allow even a single error in memtest here... :P

Oh, I'm not! If I get one error I consider it not 100% stable.

i would say that - my system run 6h with #5 while i was @ a friend....i came back, looked at the screen and there weren't any errors.....then i went 5min in the kitchen and looked at the screen again, there were 2errors.....and after every #5-passing there come always 2errors....

This way you go through a FULL heating cooling cycle of the ambient temp in the house. What may be okay in the evening or morning may not be at the other end of the day. Heat going on in the morning knocks down many an OC :cussing: :brick:
Also remember if you get errors in the beginning and not the end that mean the mem is burning in :D.
Mem is not considered stable by me until a day of test 5, followed by one extended cycle (test 1-11), (and in my case 1 thorough Goldmemory run).

Well I don't really have the time to let it run that long just on one FSB test.

for quick test, i would run test 5 and 6 both for 2 passes..

Why is it it takes alot less time to run Test #5 with 1DIMM than it does with 2DIMMs?

lol, and when do you work with your rig?

"yeah my system is 10000% stable!....but i don't have any time to work with it, because there just run stress-tests all the day...." :D ;)

LoL! Yeah I know right....I just want to find something that will handle everyday usage and gaming.

Can memetest errors be associated with a CPU overclocked too high?

Yes it can be. You should clock your CPU way down. Atleast below stock ratings.

I found errors in test 5 at 3-4-3-10 but no more errors when i set 2,5-4-3-10.
Maybe you should try that, Gskill recommands to run their TCCD mem at CAS2,5 instead of 3.
I got plenty of errors in test 6, this was also the test that made my mem run the hottest.

Personally i wouldn't boot into windows before at least 3 passes of memtest errorfree.

So you got errors at CAS 3 and didn't at CAS 2.5? Weird. bigtoe told me not to be affraid of CAS 3 with my memory though...

Why is it it takes alot less time to run Test #5 with 1DIMM than it does with 2DIMMs?

do you mean 512x1 vs 256x2? or 512x1 vs 512x2?
i think more MB would take longer?

ugp

Yeah 512x1 takes less time than 512x2...that is what I meant...

Yeah 2x256 takes less time than 2x512 too (60 and 120seconds)

I know that because i bench my 1Go of lvl2 since monday (i cant pass 226 without error  )

LOL, isn't it obvious why MEMTEST can test 512mb quicker than 1GB? :D

That's right, got errors at CAS 3 in test 5 but those dissapeared when i changed to CAS 2,5. (same speed of course)
The errors in test 6 stayed though. :(

Look at Gskill, they recommand running CAS2,5 even at DDR600, this is also TCCD ram. ;)

read http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=6

for standard test #1-7 passes minimum to test all memory is 32 passes but that won't be 100% stable, probably 99.95% stable...
