Go for A64. Your 2.4c is nothing special, the 3000+ should push it around pretty well. And with p4c's costing what they do (way too damn much). You won't actually be sinking that much cash in it in the long run. I figure if you sell your p4, you're only out an extra $100 or so.

hmmmm if you have a good intel chip wait about some more in-depth reviews about the 90nm parts and for the prices to settle and then think again :)

I would go the AMD64 way. I did that myself and I have feeling I'll never regret it. I had the P4C800 D + P4C 3.2ghz and I am changing to DFI NF3 + AMD64 3700+. The 478 socket is pretty much dead anyways or it will if Intel have a say about it. I would however, take 754 over 939 but that could change with the release of NF4(don't think so).

i have a feeling nf4 is not going to be such a big thing... just sli basically... the rest is just like a new southbridge, better faster sata lan etc...

so id go 939+90nm :)
