I have my Ultra BIOS already modded to 1.5 volts and now I have the 100K OHM Variable resistor to do the Hard Volt mod. My question is do I HAVE to flash the BIOS back to 1.4 before I solder the resistor on? Also when I adjust the voltage with the pot can I do it with the card running or do I need to shut down the system each time I adjust the voltage? Also does it matter what 2 pins I use on the resistor. There are 3 total and I know I only need 2. I have found that the center pin and the pin farthest from the pot go from 100K to 0K depending on the position of the pot. But does it matter what pin I solder to the designated solder point and what pin I solder to ground? I get the same amout of resistance no matter what way I put the leads of the meter on. Sorry for the noob questions I am just getting into the hard modds. Thanks....

no you dont. the mod will just add to that 1.5v
if you only need 2 legs, snap one of them off. make sure you turn to max resistance before you mod.
you can adjust voltage with the card running, but only with a pot that has a lot of turns. when u start getting to higher voltages the current may become too high for the vr and youll have to adjust with the comp off

Thanks.. I have the resistor at 100K OHMS now and yes it takes like 100 turns to get it from 0K to 100K so I should be OK there. Thanks for the input.
