Hey guys, I recently exchanged my stock cooler with a dynatron this weekend. I have a 9800 pro 128mb with Hynix memory (I think it's refurb from newegg, I asked for a replacement of a sapphire and they sent me an ati with a ripped box and untaped esd bag...). I also added some as5 to the card. When I ocd, to my dissapointment, I was able to only max out at 403 core and 349 memory. Is this normal for such a card? Many people who oc their stock are able to get the same as me and I really think there's something wrong. I checked to make sure that the connection b/w the hs and gpu is good (I also removed the shim) and no light is shining through the core. I'm experienced in soldering and I'm confident that I can do the vmod, but will this give me a huge performance gain? I checked the stock voltage of my card and it's at 1.69, that's pretty high. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I have a dynatron 1U Copper sink on my 9800 128MB Samsung. I get 440/390 Unmodded, and 475/400 vmodded. I wouldnt say yours is a bad oc, just average. The vmod will definately help the core. I use about 1.8V to get 35more MHZ on the core.
