I'm building my new pc now. Currently i have ordered the DFI 250GB motherboard and it has arrived in my country malaysia (the first and the only DFI 250GB :D ). The problem now is about choosing the RAM

Processor: AMD 3400+ NC

RAM Candidates:
1) Mushkin 512MB PC3200 DDR 222 Black Hi Perf LII V2
2) Corsair XMS 512MB PC3200 XL PT

*OCZ, GSkill, Crucial, and some GeiL products can't be found here.

Desired RAM performace:
DDR600 (or near) achievable

Thx for helping me :)

I'd go with whichever is cheaper. And in terms of the processor, I'd try to find a clawhammer rather than a new castle. The mobile chips work fine in the DFI board so perhaps you'd like to look at the 1.4v mobile 3200+ that has 1mb L2 cache. :)

Hmm, you may have to settle for RAM rated at higher speeds with higher latencies if you are wanting to hit DDR600...unless of course the two you have listed use the same TCCD as the GSkill that Onepagebook has been posting screenshots of. Have you seen any reviews or seen OC results of the RAM you have listed?

FYI, those two brands' TCCD IC are all week 25;)

Thx for your opinion! But getting new products in my country is not easy... I also dream of 3400+ CH with 1mb cache, but finally ends up with dissapointment... the CH is not available here... even NC 3400+ is hard to get.

The processor is here already, my path had been determined :D

Thx again!

May i know wat does week 25 TCCD IC imply? Are they the same with the GSKill TCCD or OCZ 3200 Plat Rev2? Or they perform poorer? Or they have compatibility problem with the DFI board?

Curious to see ur reply ;)

Yeah, the 2 i listed are based on TCCD. I have seen the Corsair XL do DDR600 in this forum, here is the link: http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=553706&postcount=4

but, i never see how the mushkin perform in A64 platform with DFI 250Gb
