Hello everyone. I am a member at sudhian, but due to your excellent reputation, and my desire for a more varied base of responses, i appeal to you for help. Please do.

I am selling my 9800xt for 200, and buying either an x800, or a 6800GT. I can buy the x800 for 330 and the 6800GT for around 370. I have been told, read about it, and think that the 6800GT is a better buy, especially for the future.

If i was to opt for the 6800GT, which is the direction i am leaning towards, i think i would go for Dual Dvi. Although its a little more expensive, i think it is worth the money. I found 2 that i am considering: Which is better?
Gainward (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-128-200&depa=0)
XFX (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-150-073&depa=0)
The $9 dont make a difference.

Looking forward to your replies. THANK YOU!

Definitely Gainward, better building and higher parts quality (1.6ns RAM);
The ExperTool utility is very nice, 3-years warranty, awesome cooler..

But if I was you, I would go for the X800,
it's a much better card, in performance,IQ and in many other things (in all things :D),
in today games and even for the future (if you'll ask i'll explain),
especially if you can get it cheaper...

Thanks for the answer! I wasnt expecting such a depth of knowledge. I really do appreciate it. But one question precedes my excitement, although i am better served addressing this in sudhian, why not - will it fit in my shuttle? its a sn85g4v1 to be exact... from the pictures it is hard to tell exactly how wide the gainward is... i have SOME room... i can easily fit the xfx.

I am eagerly looking forward to replies from the rest of this community.

Thank you all

I vote for Gainward too...
if XFX fit in your case...than the Gainward will fit too

well if both of them won't fit...I still choose gainward for their overclockability :D
