Hey guys,

I have this fan/blower that uses a DC motor that I want to run off my psu rail at 7volts. There are three wires comming from the blower 2 black wires and 1 black and white wires. I want to know what colour wires I should match up on the PSU rail for the blower to work.

Something like this this is just a guess it is just for an example
I.e. The first black wire goes to the red wire on psu
The second blakc wire goes to the yellow wire on psu
The black and white wire is the earth wire

the black and white is prolly power, and the blacks are prolly ground, one of em may be rpm monitoring

can u run the fan somehow and use a multimeter to find what voltage is coming through on each wire?

if ur not worried about killing it i would try black to black on molex, and black and white wire to red on molex for 5v, if that works, try to yellow on molex for 12v. if that is correct then to get 7v u need to run the black wire to red on molex, and black and white to yellow on molex

Get a 9v battery and mess around with the wires. Find out which ones are the positive and negative/ground.
