Well - stable enough. This is with a 92mm Tornado and a Sp-97.

Stepping IQYHA 0401

2.03 volts

Couldn't stand the noise any longer so I shut it down...

Sorry your sorry resolution if this picture is too big!

:D:D:D

probably burn ur cpu if you keep running at 2.03v.....

I run at 2425 at 1.625 volts 24/7

what was the temps?

i've been running my 1700+A at 2.04v for about 2 months now LMAO...
i have a 2500+ on it's way... it's in raleigh hopefully it's here tommorow

Mine does 2.6ghz at only 1.75v and 2.7ghz at 1.85v. I think your running way too much voltage for that speed.

I agree 1.85v is about the max for those mobiles. Ya might think about mounting a 120mm fan, and better case fans. ;) Still a nice clock tho. :toast:

my 2400 xp-m doesnt even reach that speed stable on water :(

sweet chip you got there! the older steppings seem to clock better though, SAE's 2600 xp-m did almost 2.7ghz on good air with 1.85v iirc, and fewture and some other people have the same stepping and are getting similar results.

Wow amazing how you know that. Errr :stick: ???

This chip does 2.7 on 1.85 as well and then to get any higher takes (as you can see) large increases in voltage.

This chip also does 2.4 on 1.55 volts but to get to 2.424 requires 1.625 volts.

As you can see - I know just about everything there is to know about what it takes to run my CPU. Has my CPU been sneaking out of my computer and into yours when I wasn't looking?

Anyways - if I keep this chip and go water I'm hoping for 2850 stable

you will need either a good block or some mods to get a higher vcore. sounds well possible though :)

I don't think so. IMO up to 2.2 or more is okay if it can be cooled sufficiently to run without errors.
I ran my mobile xp at 2.8 GHz with 2.1V for half a year. It is still working fine in someone elses system.

Nice result, MUCHO :toast:
Lately I found usual Barton 2500+ and it clock's up to 2,8Ghz on air :)
I've even see 2,9xxGHz screen on air :D (environment temp@22*C)
Cooled by Zalmann 7000B-Cu
Too bad, it locked..
1M- 35sec (2767MHz) (http://www.hot.ee/xpinfo/2767MHz-SPi1M-35s.PNG) (@ 2800Mhz got same 35 sec) (http://www.hot.ee/xpinfo/2800-35sec.PNG)
2M- 81sec (http://www.hot.ee/xpinfo/2767MHz-SPi2M-80sec.PNG)
Pifast-49,95sec (http://www.hot.ee/xpinfo/2767MHz-Pifast-49,95s.PNG)
All this @1,85V, 2800@1,9V
So, 3G is surely possible with aircooling,- all depends on air temp. ;)

You're thinking of the 0351 MPMW mobile 2600+s. There were a couple folks who got 2.8 GHz. on air, mine did 2775 MHz. :)

the break-down-voltage, the voltage wich is high enough to kill the cpu inmediatly when applied, is above 3v for the athlon xp cpus, and probably still around 3v for a64 cpus :)

for athlon xp cpus even 2.5v is fine and it should work for months if not years with 2.5v if its cooled well enough. ive seen some people in asia who watercooled their xps and ran them with 2.5v :hehe: afaik all of those chips are still alive :)

for a64 cpus 2.5v should be fine as well if they are cooled well enough as the a64 is very close to th athlon xp design wise.

But A64 are using Silicon on Insulator, which can make a difference.
I heard that the MAX SAFE VOLTAGES are 2.25 V for AXP and 1.65 V for A64.

why should soi make it more sensitive to voltage? soi means you appl an insulator underneath the gates wich means they are less capacitive and the leakge decreases.

i never heard it makes chips more sensitive to volts, rather the opposite as it prevents the gates from getting nuked from too much current and shorted, because theres the insulator beneath them...

i think your talking about strained silicon. strained silicon increases the electron flow wich means there is a higher chance of a gate getting blown and getting shorted.

max safe voltage for axp as 2.25 is what most people say because thats the max most people have seen ;) or have you ever heard of an xp dieing from 2.3 or 2.4v and thats why you assume 2.25v is the max safe? i guess not

and the max stable voltage for a64s is 1.65v? the stock voltage of a64s is 1.5-1.55v!

What i meant to say was 2.7ghz was the max stable. I did load windows and took Screenshots at 2.8ghz but was not 3d stable.

Nice Clock..I am the proud owner of a IQYHA 0427, Mobile XP2600, im very impressed with this chip. my goal is 2.8 stable, but i cant hurdle 2772, i have tried different Bios, Memory and power supply..no go..Even on water
I have tried every FSB and multiplier combo on my board, volt mods are not in my plans, so if thats it, thats it...still an awsome chip

My current set up for someone that may have an idea is;
NF7-s v2
xp M 2600 w/c
1 gig XmS pc3200LL 6-2-2-2.5 OR
1 gig KhX pc4000 8-3-3-3
pny6800GT
2 10k Raptors raid-0
Antec True 430watt OR
Raptor 400watt Adjustable..(holds stable better than my antec)

try a mod to get a higher and more stable vcore :)
theres a guy who modded his nf7-s from a 3phase to a 4 phase design ;)
cool the mosfets, maybe add some capacitors... vdroop mod...

if all that doesnt help try your luck with an infinity...

hell yeahi got a 0351MPMW molbile 2600 here that runs 2700 on air. just a shame i dont use it anymore. i got mine up to 3000mhz using my mach1 i just wish i could do that on my 64 system....
