My ATI X800 XT PCIe shipped without a 6 pin power adapter and Frys, Compusa, and PC CLUB do not carry such an item yet.
I am about to hot wire my connector and wanted more input from others who have worked with this connector or found other pin outs.
Here is the best page I have found so far and this may help others in a pinch as well.

Good luck improvising. :) I don't see how the card maker could oversee the need to include it with the card. ;)
What exactly do you mean "hotwire" it?

Its very simple, take 3 12V lines and hook them to the 3 lower pins, the pins closest to the card. Then take Black wires and attach them to the 3 upper pins.
OPP
Are you sure that wouldn't hurt the card at all?

That sounds a little crazy. What happened to the 5V rails? I see some in that XPC gear pic.
EDIT: On closer inspection it apears that those guys are breaking the standards and using a red wire for a ground.
Opps method is the best, 3 12V rails are much better than 1 and 2 1/2s of a rail.

probably works better anyways as the adaptor would limit current flow vs. soldering ;)

id do what opp recomended you to do... or use an extra psu for the card, BUT be carefull if you do so! if you hook it up wrong it will kill the card. ask shamino how to power x800 and 6800 cards with an extra psu without killing the card. i think all you need to do is short them so the system psu starts together with the psu for the videocard, but im not sure.
what memory clocks does it have?
