here's a Crucial Ballistix 3200 for a compare. They are cheaper and love 2-2-2 timings up to 3-3-3-8 timings of PC4200, this is all around everything memory finally. I do a dance between my good BH5's and my OCz 4200's now i dont need to.

I found a little bit more hiding in the ballistix. And also no need for 3.6+v memory for BH5's this is @ 3volts.

Try 2.9 Volt.
I tried them up to 3.2 volt so they wont burn =)
And i dont think you loose anything by going 2.5-4-3 instead.
That will take the ram very high fsb.

Im not good about this but should he not aim for 300FSB by rasing to same timings as me and maybe hit 300FSB ?

2.5-3-3 maxes 285 on my board.

*edit see you have 1 gig stick, i only have one 512 *

I have run sandra at 290fsb 1:1 and got 4500mb/s on the DFI UT nf3 250 but it crashed right after as I was trying to save the screenie.

I do have a screenie of 280fsb 1:1 at 2.5-3-3-10 I will try and upload.

not just yet. but it looks like tccd does actually clock better than EB... at least late EB, the early stuff had better chips and clocked higher i think.

Can you do me a favour and run Prime or anything else that's very hard on the ram for 15 minutes or so and feel the heatspreaders?

I ask this because mine went up to 47C+ whilst running memtest at default settings and speed with just 2,7Vdimm. :eek:

i'm pretty sure these get warm... i haven't done prime on them, but they are definately warm after a few runs of 2k1.

DL the window memtest,it's actualy faster at detecting errors than the floppy version,it's only limited in the freeware version,it stops and prompts the user when an error is found :
