just me, or is memtest running slow on DFI 250gb?

I'm running 2x512mb mushkin PC3500 blk lvl2 BH5 at 240mhz 1:1 (3.2V) on a DFI 250gb slots 1 and 3
2-2-2-5-11
3400+ CG @ 9x240HTT

running memtest86 ver3.1 and bandwidth is very low 1592MB/s, but i understand its single channel....but memtest runs MUCH slower than when i tested these sticks in my P4C800E dual-channel.....is it the single channel thats making memtest to bench so slowly?

im not worried about the bandwidth, becuase i know its only single channel
but im confused about the speed that memtest benches at...its very slower than memtest on a dual channel P4

one pass on average could take more than 6 minutes
