Might work but why not just buy a new VGA Silencer??
Would do the job better, doesn't cost an arm & a leg, & no need to mod.
IMO, the stock cooer would be better than the VGA Silencer v2 since it's all copper & with ATItool 0.0.22, you can force the fan to run 100% all the time.
Just my 2 cents.

copper will not do much better. The ATI Rev2 cooler should be at least 30-40% better. I say good for about a 10-15C drop in temps acrossed the board.

Well it work precftly, just splices the wires as the new gen cards used a 3 pin while the older ones used 2 pin. Droped load temps by 17C, from 80-63-64C which great considering I had this thing just laying around :)
