6800 Volt mod question?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I went to the local electronics store to get a Variable 100K Ohm Resistor to do this mod but they didn't have any. Can someone please provide a direct link to one that will work for me. I looked on the internet but there are like thousands of them and I am not sure what one would work best for this application. This is the mod I am talking about here:

ppls read the boards...that was done quite awhile ago, no one volt mods the 6800U everyone's jumped on the x800 bandwagon. Good luck and good for you.

Did you think maybe a pencil would be easier all-around though? I was going to v-mod for a while, but realized I didnt have the cooling... a pencil is much less work and less permanent. Then, you can alway add the vr later after getting it all squared away. Just my opinion.

6800s are for gamers, x800s for benchers. simple as that.
yeh pencil is ok to test, id still like a vr if it was permanent

Well cooling isn't a problem so I will hard mod it as soon as the VR arrives. Thanks guys....
