Ok, I'm new to this whole vmods thing, so bear with me here for a second.

I recently bought an ati x800xt pe, and I tried overclocking it, got it to 445/575 using stock cooling(temps 43c idle/54-59c load) and I can't go past that, or my system will freeze, and my temps aren't that high, so my only option is to do a vmod. I've never done this before, and I definately dont want to mess up my card, so what do you guys think? Should I give it a try, or what?

Also, is there a good guide online, with pics and stuff?

Thanks in advance!

I think... if your VidCard is a lousy OCer (Stock Cooling), isnt worth to modify it.

Try a better cooling solution (WC), before Vmod.

I'm kinda broke right now, so wcing isnt an option.

Do you think this will help? Its gotta be better than stock cooling

did u mean you got it to 545, because since 520 is stock, would 445 be an underclock

How much voltage you sending to the core? I have mine @1.675. It will do 598 artifact free and 637 before it locks up the PC.
I did the Vdimm mod and all i could before was 580 but now i could do 594.

everyone knows about ln2 that wouldnt be top secret.......... this is so simple and easy it would blow your mind no electricity not phase change and total maintence free and stay at -50c. im about to sell this idea. deal is it the works to a few companys who are bidding.

Condensation would be a problem right ?

Yes. Anything below ambient temperatures is capable of producing condensation.

To answer the original question, your XT is the same PCB, chip, mem and everything as a Pro VIVO. So just look at the VIVO volt guide right in this forum. Actually, it's linked to in one of the obvious threads. ;)

I checked every x800 vmod thread here except the ones about pencil mods...

My Sapphire XT clocks @1,7V @650 ,but the mem clocks only @2,05V @550
without errors.
Please Report after the flash to xt-pe.
