I just recently installed the new X800XT and it says in the device manager and the control panel that its a X800?? Is that whats its supposed to show? Not X800XT?

Kinda worried since i took the heatsink off to add my water block and it even shows X800 on the GPU.

Bought it from newegg..

P.S. In the controll panel it show that 16 pipelines are enabled and the defualt speed look correct at 500/500.

Well crap.. What should i do about this? Should i just find a good bios and flash it to the right card? Return it to newegg for a refund? It was an OEM card..

It has a X800XT label on the back though..

I'm just worried that this thing is using some crappy bios with some funky mem timings to get the mem speed up to clock.

It dont look like a Sapphire card at all.. Looks just like a Ati built card.

Its really bothering me to see the X800 label on the 3dmark stats..

Flash it with the ATi X800XT BIOS.

Sapphire has released an "underclocked" X800XT hence no "Platinum Edition" label.

Here's some more details on the card:

Just flash it with the retail 520/560 ATI bios like masterofpuppets said.

OK its been flashed to the offical ATi X800XT Platinum Edition 525/575 bios.

Gained like a 1000 points in 3dmark 2k1. :)

Overclocks just as high as before at 542/1212.. Cant wait to try for more.

Thanks!
