i dont see what could go wrong from here, its not like VU will refuse to start publishing and shipping out HL2... only bad thing i could think of happening would be someone stealing it AGAIN (someone did decrypt the security encryption on the HL2 preload, so thats not good)

It's only an RC though, so I'm not getting my hopes up. Even if Vivendi goes straight to gold, we won't see it before November in any case.

Yeesh, $80 for the Collector's Edition which is the only way you'll get it on DVDs and with CS:S.

Although a lot of people are saying that because of the continuing squabble between Valve and Vivendi (including a possible lawsuit) HL2 might not see retail until 2005...

By the time it debuts it's gonna seem a bit crummy compared to newer titles. However it's GOT to have a better story than DOOM3... ;)

I only care about the multiplayer, personally :)

For me, Doom3 singleplayer got really old really fast. I love the graphics and all, but after a while it just was repetitive.

the german amazon.de shows, that the "german"-version will be available on dec. 4th....i don't think, but maybe ;)
