Ain't had the time/motivation to bench in a few months. Been workin on setting up my rig for benching this week, and made a couple runs while doing so.
Last time I benched was with the 29.17 det's and I believe I was the top AMD/4200 then, but I'd since been blown away by many folks using the 40.XX drivers ;)
Haven't had time to fully set up the OS, or tweak the drivers to the max, but I did find myself playing around w/ the vmod for the 4200 and I'm pretty sure I just stuck myself back in #1 in AMD/4200 cat...that goes for Tbred's too(for now) and all this using my $55 1600+ :D
The ole 8K3A is still doing its job...quite a few KX7's below me :p
I don't see 15k being unreachable if I happen upon some more time for tweaking/benching.
Really is not a good score for my CPU & GFX MHz...I'll attribute that to a low FSB(Samsung not performing like it used to so far) & a poorly set up OS.
Checked the ORB and had to snicker when I saw this near 3.5GHz P4 couple spots under me:

I read your 3DMark tweak guide today from PC Stats...Nice article man, I see there are some more services that I can disable that I had not done in the past. Actually, with these runs here now my OS is not set up very well at all so I will prolly reference your article for the services end of it. Keep up the good work! :D

n8, i was blown away with your default clocks, and your Vmod clocks are just as impressive, especially for aircooling. I'll never catch you now :)

Btw colin, read your article (was linked from OCAU). Will be very interesting to see revisions made to it when you come across more tweaks (nice to refer somebody to an article written by a dude that knows his öööö, and is willing to care :))

I was a little disappointed with the v-modded clocks actually...although I don't even have ramsinks(don't really see the need), I just thought that from 335/641 w/o mods that I might hit say 365/710 modded. I'm not that far off that, and I can't really complain about a card that comes clocked at 250/500 & runs 357/695 ;) Not to mention costs $130.
You can see I'm also having a little bit of a problem runnin 3D @ high CPU clocks as well...I was kinda hopin for 2100MHz 3D runs...but I can't really complain there either...afterall, it is only a 1400MHz chip, $55 :p
All my clocks seem to be lower with these 40.XX drivers, but ya just can't make up for the performance they give ya.

Beautiful score... maybey someday i'll get my 4200 up there with you :) but mine would take just a bit more work. (vmodded 300/600:( )

Nice gain, I'm trying replicate your feat today with an even cheaper Rage 128 PRO, but I am up against Jeff and his " I don't do 3dmark " based machine. For someone who does not do 3dmark he's proving tough to beat :D

Hi there, are you going to try with a fury maxx card ?
If so maybe we can swap tips etc, coz I am in the process of testing old cards with new rigs, shame we gotta either ME or 98 with that card. Last time I benched with the card was back in 2001 with an athlon 1.2 and 1260...think I scored around 22xx.
If not we could try some healthy competition.
