First off i appologise for this appauling typing, i'm using a sparre computer and the keyboard is really dodgy, anyway...

Basically i killed my nf7-s the otherday whilst testing out my latest homemade waterblock, itt wasn't quitte as water tight as i thought so i now have one dead motherboard.

I can't decide what to do now. I could just get another nf7-s and be done witth it but i'm quite ttemptted to get an a64 3000+ and mobo.

I currently have a mobile 2500+ that super pi's at 2750mhz, and i usuallyy run 24/7 prime stable at 200x12 2400mhz @ 1.7v

I've got 2x256 of OCZ 3500 lmt ed platinum bh-5 stuff. the most i've had from that is 229mhz but i'm pretty sure that's ddue to 2.9v vdimm on nf7-s, rather then chipset limitattions.

I'm planning on doing a huge system overhaul next year, sk939, pci-express, new graphics and all that sttuff feb/march time so whatever i get now is just to tie me over until then.

So what do you think? Just stick with my mobile or go for an A64 3000+ and if so what motherboard. I havn''t been following the k8t800pro vs. nforce3 thing and have no idea what board to go for. I also know that the new DFI board is meant to be sweett but it'll be ttoo long before tthhat's released in the UK.

again, i'mm sorry about the dodgyy typing lol.

Cheers for any help.

Since you've already got a decent processor, and your planning a big upgrade not to far off, I would just grab another NF2 board and stay where your at..

Moving this to hardware/amd..

ahh, thx for the move :)

that's what most people seem to be saying. guess i'm just itching to jump on the a64 bandwagon hehe.

I'm sure i can wait a bit longer.

Of course you can.
I've been waiting for two years to go AMD, and I'm still waiting.
