unlocked multi.

I know AMD "superlocked" there Athlon XPs awhile back, but my new one came unlocked. It seems to be a very good overclocker and it didn't seem to follow the normal templete for trying to find out the steppings. as in the letters all run together and I think I found the stepping but i'm not sure....I ain't takin' off the heatsink to check either. just wonder if I got an "old" chip or if AMD made some new ones that are unlocked.

Some new ones are unlocked too I think. Like the mobiles are unlocked, so maybe some mobiles were sold as desktop..

yeah that could explain something....from what I could tell it was a high quility chip...that could be it. Right now I'm at 2.3ghz 400mhz FSB stock voltage. It seems stable. what should I expect as a limit? my guess was 2.4 or 2.5 with a volt increase.
