hi,
i need some help here ;)
i have just received back my powercolor ati9500np from rma, the problem is that instead of the original default voltages of vgpu 1.50v vmem 2.80, their are at default like this vgpu 1.66v / vmem 3.17v, and this without reason... i haven't mod this card after rma not even once, and this is a new card the have sent me!
How can i decrease the voltage basck to original ati default?

thanks in advance :toast:

Ok, I marked the chips controlling Vdd (memory) and Vgpu (core). I also pointed out which pins we are interested in.

You need to do a connectivity test between each pin and nearby resistors so we can find an onboard resistor to work with.

What you do is find an onboard resistor that is in the loop and remove it. Solder a larger value VR preset to the resistance of the onboard resistor that was removed. Then, increasing the resistance using the VR at that point will lower the voltage.

Keep in mind that when people are adding VRs to the onboard chips that regulate voltage, they are adding the resistors in parallel with the onboard resistance....this lowers the total resistance which increases the voltage.

When you remove a resistor all together and add a higher resistance one the voltage will decrease.
