so...i measured a little bit on a few places of my GF6800Ultra...

and i've to say, that there isn't one point, which shows me something about 1.8V (GDDR3-standard)

my card has 1.6ns-chips....

but there are points in front of each chip, which show me 2.05V

http://home.arcor.de/dresign/forum/XS/vddr.jpg

that would be realistic....samsung has atm problems with bad-yielded 1.6ns-chips....and my chips do only 1260MHz artifact-free and stable (default-clock of 1.6ns-chip = 625MHz = 1250MHz)

but i don't know, how to go on....i thought, maybe i could measure the voltage on the resistors, but there i don't get any results

so, maybe someone has a hint ;)

Well if I can get a 6800 again I will try to find it. Measure from any of the big caps behind the mems though, should be more accurate.

ok, i've found the caps, where i measure 2.05V - the big caps i mean....because, there are a lot of caps, which have 2.05V, small caps too :D

so, now i need a high-res picture of the backside of a GF6800-GT/Ultra from a digicam with a good macro-function...then i could mark u the caps, which have 2.05V

btw. the next-lowest measure-point shows me 1.43V - so, it should be definitivly the VDDR-Voltage.....:)

I already know the caps, just dunno if the VDDR is regulated from the same volterra chip or the small chip near the DVI output. I'm guessing the Volterra chip, but there is little chance in getting the datasheet for it, so its kinda trial and error.

Err.. any progress? Can supply dead GT for the cause :)

erm....lol ?

a dead GT ? :stick:

what did u do with it ? :D

hmmm.....maybe LardArse can handle with dead cards :)

btw. we know already, where tthe reading-points are....just need to know, which of the resistors has to be modded (maybe again with a pencil) to raise ALL gddr3-chips @ the voltage.....

Nothing much... few busted resistor, maybe one dead memory... :P It actually boots up with bunch of snowy... :P
Probably good candidate to play with volt modding stuff... :) I should plug it into my old p3 rig and play with it eh? LMK if you can use this to further the casue LordArse :)
