Which card for me?

Hey, I'm thinking of either buying a 6800GT or x800pro VIVO card.

The 6800GT is cheaper than the x800pro VIVO card

BFG 6800GT = £260
x800pro VIVO = £280ish

I was curious as to what is overall the better card? Without any fanboy abuse, just an unbiassed opinion.

I'm in a bit of a rush, otherwise I would search the forums a bit more.

im not sure but some people reported they couldnt flash their latest x800 vivos to xts, so id get the gt to be sure you get 16 pipes...

6800GT.

Mine clocks just a hair below 6800Ultra, and it's not even one of the O/C or Golden brand cards. x800 pro vivos not unlocking is very worrying to me.

Or wait for 6800U or x800 XT's to actually show up for under $550. Maybe a month or two I'd guess.

i'm an ati fan by far, and own an x800pro non-vivo (aming other ati cards) , but from what i am seeing, i would highly recommend the 6800gt. my 2 cents its the best bang for the buck by a long stretch, and less risky

well i guess it depends on what your planning on doing with it, couse it would seem that 3dmark wise the x800 cards do much better, but in games so far it seems that the 6800s do. either one is a good choice if you ask me
