dont need to vmod this time around. VGPU can be easily increased via VGA BIOS, check out this thread....

yeah but this only goes to 1.5v
yes the 6800u has been vmodded, go to the bios mod threads and start reading the "any modders game for a 6800u..."

is it this simple to modify the voltages of the x800 cards? or do they need a vmod to edit voltages? looks like a nice tool ur developin there, keep up the good work :)

thanks 4 that lardarse ;) im already usin the 1.5v bios. do u think that performin the mod aswell for 1.77v will be overkill for my DD 6800 waterblock?
should i jus flash bk 2 a 1.4v bios then perform the mod so i ave 1.67v 2 gpu?

My BFG 6800GT hates voltage:(
Whenever I raise it with any bios to 1.4v in 3d I get a garbeled screen in 3dmark.. sigh.
It does 450/1.1 with a stock bios however (pelt/h2o with a DangerDen Maze 4) I was hoping for 475 with some vmods but I can't mod it at ALL which is a bummer.
Just makes me want an ultra even more:p:
Also I haven't seen any vddr mods yet either?

I would say use the hard mod instead of the bios mod and see how it goes. Hope you have a strong 5v/12v line.

im usin a pc power & coolin 510 deluxe psu with pots turned right up :D so 1.77 will not be overkill for my gpu on a DD waterblock? im currently gettin idle temps of 47c i need 2 check load temps :p:

Well, I keep my 5v around 5.16v underload, found that too high the 68 doesn't like it as much ;)

Yeah, thats what I would do. Have some nice air flow over the PWM area.

I got this too. I disconnected all unnnecesary peripherals and reserved a clean psu line for my card. No more garbled 3dmark screens after that. I have an Antec TC.

You might get a very slight boost by running the fan on its own line and not off the card. Probably not so much on the dual railed 6800U, but it should be nice for the 6800GT.

LardArse do u ave a 6800ultra bios which solves the 25c throttle problem and supplys only 1.4v in 2d and 3dmode? as i want 2 volt mod my 6800ultra and install a swiftech 80watt pelt block on the card ;)

Try this, all my benches were done on this:
http://www.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/6800/BACKUP.ROM
which is basically the stock bios.
Heard that the thermal throttle issue has not been solved thru the bios yet

I am running a volt modded BIOS. 1.5 volts on all 3 settings 3D, 2D and Throttle. My temps range from 10C-15C idle to 25C-35C load after Far Cry for 3 hours. I have tried many things to get around the throttling problem and right now it seems to be gone unless RivaTuner is not a good way to tell if it is still throttling? I just use the RivaTuner Hardware monitor to watch my clock speeds of the GFX card while I watch the Nvidia temp display in the Nvidia Control panel. I have the card clocked at 502/1300 and at 15C idle temps and watching the hardware monitor in RivaTuner the clocks never drop? If it was throttling shouldn't it drop down to 475/1200<---What I modded the BIOS to. It seems to be performing really well. After some tweaking I am hitting 85,000 ish in AQ3. That is up by 10,000 points before I modded the BIOS. Is there a better way to tell if I am still throttling? I think the BIOS mod fixed it.
