I recently got my new water cooling sys all put together. Before I was on a 3-foot tall bong water cooling setup. :D I'm very pleased with the results I have been getting.

This new heater core style is working a lot better for me because it's easier to keep clean, meaning my block doesn't get covered in gunk and mineral deposits. :p:

The pics are a little on the large side because I didn't want too make anything look grainy or jagged from resizing it too small. Sorry...

Anyway, temps with AS5 are about 18 C above ambient according to ABIT's Hardware Monitor software, and about 14 C above ambient according to the probe I have next to the CPU core. Temps increase about 2-3 C when running 2.7GHz for benching. Oh, I'm only using two old 55CFM 120mm fans. :D I've got another one somewhere that I might stick on the heater core....

Anyway, just thought I'd share all that now that my comp is all set up and lookilng cool. Trogdor strikes again! :toast: Comments are welcome.

Hmmm, you got pretty good temps, what's the diameter of your hoses?

They are 1/2" OD and 3/8" ID hoses. And for only $0.49/foot CAD at my local hardware store, I couldn't refuse.

Actually, the rig only uses less than a metre (3 feet) of tubing for the CPU loop. Later I may consider adding a GPU block.

Get bigger tubing, 1/2" ID....and, is that what I think it is...whats under the corners of your radiator?? :slap:

Those are some little candy containers made out of plastic. Props my rad up nicely.

I don't really see the need to go for bigger tubing... My temps are good. Besides, 1/2" ID won't fit through the holes in my case. :p:

i first used 3/8" ID tubing in my GPU / NB loop ...and when i switch to 1/2" ID the extra cooling was GREATLY improved. Cuz i got a TEC block in my loop, and they need high flow to keep cool ...so ur prob. ok. But when upgrading to add another block, look for some 1/2" ID too. Since that rad. is huge! ...can handel another 3 blocks :p:

Thanks for the suggestions, guys, but it would be too much of a pain to switch the tubing right now. When/if I put on a GPU block I'll see. In the meantime I gotta put that third fan on the rad and VDD mod my mobo.

EDIT: I just read that and it sounded kind of rude. Sorry about that. You guys are just trying to help a fellow water cooler out. Thanks a bunch! :toast: to XS!
