hey i was setting up my tec system today and almost everything was working at the end ;). first the PRS that i'm using with meanwell didn't work so i need to fix it and secondly I have a leak on the res 90 fitting which sucks cuz i have to drain the whole system again and refill it after i tighten the fitting and all the clamps. however i have a question before i do it. whenever i take off all the tubing it gets really dim (because of the air getting in the tubing) is there any way to fix it, so when i reattach the tubing it will look clear. + i need a bigger case because everything is pretty tight inside = no good airflow. anyway here are some pics for eye pleasure. :)

btw because the PRS didnt work with meanwell i wired meanwell directly to the wall outlet and the system was working so i turned it off (system and no the meanwell) and left to get something to eat. came back after like 15-20 mins (pelt was still working cuz of the meanwell) and the water was crazy hot :) , but pelt was still fine. so basically that's te reason why i need to get that PRS to work ;)

yeah man, i'm gonna have to find something to cover the edges (they arent that sharp as i sanded em a little bit). but the tubing is really thick (1/8) so no worries. also i'm not mobing the red a lot. just to refill etc. but i'm still going to take care of that. how about the other question i posted (dim tubing when the air gets in?) any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

no idear dude, tubes have all gone milky for me after some time... afaik theres no way to get them clear again :(

about the case cuts, just put two or 3 layers of tape over the edges, then wrap the part of the hose that goes there in tape as well and nothing should happen :)

thanks for tips guys, ill definately look into em. about the wc, i refilled the whole thing (man i need to put some cutoff valve in the future , maybe it'll make things easier) and now i'm leaktesting again. i noticed some drops under the pump but now i'm not sure if those are the drops that fell down when i was refilling the system. anyway i tightened all the clamps again, redit the 90 fitting (no leak now) and i'm going to work on the PRS and hopefully finish everything tonight.:toast:

hazy tubing sucks. do u think that few drops of dye will improve the look? ;)

thanks in advance for info.

nice idea to put the rad. like that. Not exactly pretty, but who cares :p: should perform good.

if theres no leaks, tell us some results

What are you using to power the 2 peltiers?

Also, one dual 120mm heatercore can handle all that work load?

meanwell for 226 and the 80 is powered from the atx psu. i saw loops with 2 pelts in one loop and with smaller rad and the temps were ok. i'll post some temps once i get that PRS to work. i have another thread about the prs problem.

depends on the systems, ive seen single 120mm heatercores that couldnt even keep a single mcw-50t at decent temps, but those were set up badly.

im sure he will get nice temps, though a second rad would sure help.

hint hint hint :stick:

about the leaks, i always use magic paper. dont know how you call it, it can be bought very cheap in shops that sell all kind of paper stuff for children. it changes the color slighlty when it gets wet :)

just dry it all with toilet paper and then put the magic paper everywhere you suspect leaks. you will be able to spot the leaks really fast that way.

kewl, i'll look into the magic paper ;), but i guess reg paper will do it because i think that the zorex i added will stain the paper a lil bit (nuff to notice the leak). anyways my finger tests didn't find any leak yet but i'll %99 sure when i test it with paper. i'm getting about 9-10C @ 3200+ (2500+) but a guy told me that the temp will prolly drop when the "burn in" time is finished. also about the 2nd rad i may get one, but the question is if it'll be ok to put it right before or right after the heatercore or should i put it somewhere else in the loop. i don't wanna shove it inside the case as it's already full inside. with all the wire mess i need to get some shrink wrap and fix em a little bit. also after all my modding my case i really scratched up so i need to repaint it sometime soon. about the PRS it's dead - don't know y. but i placed order for a new one and send question to swiftech about warranty. for now i'm just using surge protector with pump and meanwell pluged in so when the pump starts meanwell also turns on. it's a safe and simple solution for now.
