hellu guys!
im gonna vcore and vdimm mod my 8kda3j mainboard to get higher voltages offcource. Now beacause i have a MACH II on the cpu, heat is not an issue. I was windering, how much can i raise the vdimm and the vcore. i tought of 2.0volt for the CPU and 3.1 for the memory but im not sure if the board can take those high voltages. Has anyone destroyed their mainboard giving it over 2.0volt? what about vdimm over 3.1volts?
thanks guys

Going over 2vCore prolly wont give u anything. I think 1.9v will be well enough. (And remember that this board overvolts pretty heavy with some bios.)
vdimm up to 3,4v is what i´ve runned (before :( ).. Some people runned over 3,6v on this board.
Just take care so u dont burn the Integrated memory controller.
3.1vdimm should be totally cool. (But u should keep those mosfets cold.. additional fans there is recomennded.
(Epox tech said that those could blow if u where running over 1,7vcore and 3v+vdimm)

wel, im runnign @1.8volt now..maybe i should get som cooling for them?

Sounds like a good idea :)
(i´ve only got sinks on those mosfets next to the socket.. dunno which to cool if running high vdimm)

Well you probally can't get over 2.0V. I experienced some OVP kicking in @ 2V. When I set 1.83 or higher in the bios, with the extra vcore load I got a system shut down, form too high core voltage.
I've been looking for some way to bypass that, but haven't been succesfull :(. Mem can go upto 4V I believe, didn't test it myself though since my mem doesn't need more then 3.3V.
Those mosfets indeed could cause some trouble, they get major hot with just normal load. Just sinking them won't be enough imho, extra fans needed for sure...

well, it looks like we got trouble on our hands...YOUPY, have u tried 1.9volt? or does it ovp?
where is the limit for the memory? 3.3volts or 3.1 volt for 24/7 use

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if you have this high pitched noise coming from the mosfet area on your 8KDA3J/+, which has been spoken about in some threads here att XS.

well i heard the noise when i put the board first time in!
but since then i didnt notice something but it s not a bad board so but if it doest this everytime u should rma it!!!

OVP kicks in @1.93V

i have condensation protected it dude..else u get condensation on the pipe which will after sometime fall over ur gfx card and destroy it...that way, no condensation on the pipe..u get it?
BTW =STE=BloodAngel i tough i saw someone get 2.0volt with the board but i dont know, maybe i saw something else?
thanks guys
