Because of the stupid vcore bug and fluctuating vcore on my 8KDA3+ I wanted so switch mobo's. But why stay with S754, we need to move on right :D .
I was thinking of a S939 motherboard when I noticed that most of them, like the Msi and upcoming Dfi have the cpu turned. That way you can't install a prommy on there  .
I then started surfing  the web to find a Nforce3 ultra motherboard with the normal, the way its meant to be, socket .
And I found this one the Gigabyte GA-K8NSNXP-939 , http://www.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Products/Products_GA-K8NSNXP-939.htm .
How does this one perform? Of course the board will be vcore/vdimm modded :toast: . Just need to choose the right cpu for it, I was thinking about a 3500+ with a nice stepping.
Too bad the 1Mb FX-53 is sooooooooo expensive :(

I would pick up a 3400 + 1mb insted and stay with the 754 platform..the 3400 would be slightly faster :)

Even with the S939 having the advantage of Dual Channel? But I'd still need a new S754 motherboard  and a nice stepping 3400+ 1Mb doesn't have to beat my 2.7Ghz record on my 3200+ XPMW :D .

even with the dual channel advantage..

well wait a few days and grab the DFI. Then you´ll have time to find a good cg 3400 1mb.. It should easily beat your mhz record.. Heck almost on air :)

You can use the prommy on the DFI and MSI, you just have to turn the evap head 90 degrees. Just be carefull doing it though, don't just twist the evap or you'll simply rip it from the hose. You have to make a gradual curve with the hose assembly. I've had to do it for several of my mobos. The prommy is a little more adaptable than you think.

The Gigabyte 939 is a very fast board and paired with the FX-53 is the fastest combination on the market atm. Depending on your cpu clock it probably has a 200-300 mhz advantage in 2001se over the DFI/s754 combo. It is however a very finiky board and difficult to overclock.

As far as a 3500+, the 512 cache will slow you down in some things, 2001se, but other tasks will be quicker than the s754 CL. Depends on what you are looking for.

I just vacumed my system and removed the flexible line, then turned it so the evap was in a new angle and rebrazed/regassed it. I have one of those god awful MSI boards, its already killed a VC and it can't even break 212FSB stabily, I'm just holding out for a DFI.
