Questions to you all.
I have Chaintech VNF3-250, 6800GT running 420/1.05ghz, 3400+ (1mb running at 2.4ghz now 1.7v bios)
I did voltmodding last night (have micro clip with 50k res handy so not a big deal) and started playing around voltage. with +0.1v I was priming fine for 30 mins or so when system just shut down....
Mosfet temps were around 78-87 depending on which one. CPU temps were about 59c fully loaded (under water cooling) and running @ 2.45ghz. Power is supplied with Antec True 550. (oh and there is OCZ DDR booster running 3.2v atm with 2 sticks of 3700eb). Have 2 DVD (one recorder, one reader), 1 Raptor 74GB and one hitachi 120gb. 3 120mm fan (running around 1500rpm) and 1 80mm fan running 1800 rpm.
Why would it be shutting down like that? Is it CPU refusing or PSU just not having enough power ( :( ) or... the mobo decides PWM is too hot?
Any suggestions? Clues?
@ 1.7v 2400mhz, it is rock stable but I want more out of this CPU.
